Transform Documents into Stand-alone Executable (Exe) Files.

Few times, I came across people asking for a way to transform Word Documents into a Stand-alone executable files (Exe). The need arises when you need to send a file to a person that does not know how to use reader programs (like Acrobat reader etc.).
In addition people wanted the capacity to protect their work from editing, and other forms of unjustified uses.

There is a simple way to generate Exe files, and it works well with reasonable Word files (It might not work well with very complex “crazy” documents).

The conversion program is shareware; you can try before you spend money.

Download this Shareware, http://www.aw-soft.com/webexe-download.html

This nice program converts html files into a stand-alone Exe file.

In few seconds, you can generate a stand-alone Exe file that can be executed in any Windows version and does not need any reader or original application.
It provides many options including Password Protection Access to the Exe file, so it makes fairly safe to send files over the Internet.

Install Webexe.

  1. Create a document in Word.

  2. In Word click on Save AS and save the file as a Web Page (it saves it as an htm file).

  3. Run WebExe, point it to the saved htm file.

  4. Set the options, and press Create.

Voila, in few second your document is saved as an Exe stand-alone file.

This method would work with any other program that can save as straightforward htm/html files.

Note.  WebExe is $39 to buy.

Disclaimer: I do not know the vendor, and get nothing, whether you buy it or not.
